Tetnus is a must! 💉 💉
Please make sure your tetnus is up to date, this hotel must have been fantastic 50 years ago. Doors not working, faulty lifts... the list goes on. Horrendous bathroom... best part was the hotel location.... very very strange hotel!

I wasn't really there enough comment. The only staff I spoke was the reception. They were really friendly and helpful. The security guard(doorman) was a bit uninterested when I said bye first thing this morning. Was more interested. Never got response when I said thank you. More interested in his mobile. Never even looked up. Otherwise, stayed here on a couple of visits in the far past and over this weekend. Not really had any problems. Would come again if or when I visit Liverpool again. As it's fairly responsible price for a stay.

The Adelphi. Where you go when you give up on life
We booked the Adelphi because it was central and had parking near by. The plastic plants in the planters outside were all over the place, the lobby felt dirty and grubby. We got our keys and went to our room. Due to building work going on,we had to walk through a restricted area that said ‘no entry’. There was dust, cables and debris everywhere. It did not feel safe. Up on entering,I knew I wasn’t going to stay there. There was a consistent buzzing noise and the room was so small, two people didn’t fit in. So back to reception for take 2. Upon walking in to this room, we felt like we were in the sequel of the Shining. The hotel is horrible. The rooms are filthy. So filthy that I refused to take my socks off in bed. The kettle was rusty and mouldy. The bathroom was gross with lose taps, stuff that I don’t even bare to think about, up against the walls. Short, curly hair on the floor, filthy mirrors etc. We went for dinner and I asked to replace the kettle and have someone clean the room. They did nothing except change the kettle. With the lose cables everywhere, mould behind the curtains and paint peeling off we felt horrified. It’s like Stevie Wonder cleaned this room. I won’t even get in to breakfast. To sum this all up. I will ask for a refund as £212 for a room there is an absolute pi**take. Management should be ashamed of the quality of work they sign off on. This Hotel is not fit for purpose yet they still charge the same as an averagely good hotel. It’s not right.
Cables hanging lose in the room
Is it spunk? Is it chewing gum?
Bottom of the sink
Is it blood? What did the last person that stayed here do to themselves???

The hotel in an excellent location. The decir is in need of updating, but my room was clean. The checkin and checkout process was smooth, but during my one night stay, not one member of staff smiled at me. Compared to elsewhere in Liverpool this was very unusual.

A hostel would be better !
I think the basics of a hotel are, 1. Warm room, 2 hot water 3. Comfortable bed 4 coffee in the morning at breakfast Seriously it’s like a hostel, bed mattress was so old I could feel every spring, no hot water for the shower in the morning, after 15 mins (I am not joking) it eventually got luke warm. Went for breakfast and ‘sorry coffee machine is broken’, the sign on the machine looked like it had been there for 6 months. There was no heating in the bathroom, and barely any in the room itself I had to get another duvet to survive the night. Really don’t know how these guys are still open, I knew I was in for a ride when queuing to check-in two people in front of me complaining about their rooms. But what a shame, it’s a lovely lovely building that could be amazing hotel 2 mins from the railway station. Needs some serious investment for what could be a really good art deco hotel.

Very poor
Room was a disgrace. Mould on walls and bathroom door was badly rotten across the bottom. Top of hot water tap was missing and no plug. Whole bed frame was wobbly. Overall a terribly poor room to offer and won’t be staying at this hotel again.
