Good
Disappointed.
Very uncomfortable beds. Loud. Can't open the windows because of all the smoke and noise from the outside. Unfriendly concierge. Arrived at 12:15 after a 24 hr trip to get to Barcelona and reception person would not check us in till 3pm (official check in time). Very uninspiring breakfast choices. Front staff is not that friendly - saw several reception staff over the few days we stayed there and I don't think a single one of them was observed smiling once (this is a huge contrast to what I'm used to in North America). Not a great experience. Stayed with Citadines in France, and was satisfied with them previously. Would not stay here ever again.

Fifth Stay
Always our choice, fifth time, walking distance from areobus stop. So central, across from large super market and 2 minutes walk to the great St Joseph Market. We enjoy the roof top terrace every evening sunset and a glass of wine. Short walk to the harbor and a few more steps to the beach. The area on main floor offers tables and chairs to sit and eat or relax not to mention the great coffee machine at no charge.

Exceptional
Awesome hotel in a lovely, location of Barcelona
The Citadines Las Ramblas is located right on a busy pedestrian street. It is close to a local market and supermarket that has a huge selection of groceries. I was quite impressed with the reception staff as they did go out of their way to assist. The elevator was broken for about an hour and I was on the 9th floor - the staff were willing to bring up my suitcases to my room. Luckily the technician was able to fix it quickly. Generally speaking, for a 3 star hotel it exceeded my expectation. The Kitchenette was a desirable bonus and helped save a lot of money. Food is quite pricey on Las Ramblas. The view in my room on the 9th floor was breathtaking. No major noise was heard during the night. Internet reception was excellent. The air conditioning worked flawlessly in 45 deg weather! I would highly recommend this hotel if you like to be close to the action, close to the Gothic town. You are between 2 metro stations, and an ample amount of restaurant choices, bars, and markets. I would definitely stay here again.

OK hotel on La Rambla but expensive for what it is
We rented a studio. Cleaning is extra 15 euros per day. Expensive for what it is, but it is on La Rambla. Busy busy area. Car access difficult. Kitchenette is OK but the fridge is small. Free coffee and water in the lobby. Friendly staff. Breakfast available but expensive. Nice terrace on the roof top.
