This property was absolutely beautiful. Sitting right on a private beach, it took about 500 steps from our room to get to a beach cabana. The pool was equally as beautiful, perfect for lounging with the swim-up bar and barstools situated under the water. Furthermore, the staff was so friendly and made us feel right at home! Dennis was a great waiter and bartender, as he was quick and always ready for a chat. We followed him around like puppies- ha!
The only downside to this beautiful place was (sometimes) the food. Everything we ate for breakfast and lunch was delicious- the eggs Benedict and chicken sandwich were particularly great. However, we got a bit tired of the dinner menu while there. For some reason it just was not as good as breakfast or lunch. We did not leave the resort, so we only ate at the one restaurant situated inside. It could have been us just being too relaxed (or lazy!) to go out and get a taste of the other local food.
Overall, though, this place was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the main land, and I’m hopeful next time we will decide to rent a golf cart and see the rest of the island. This hotel was the best on the strip, and apparently the only Mexican-owned hotel on the island?
If we go back, we would choose this hotel again (but also would venture out for more diverse food options).
