Didn’t stay . Everything looked old. The room smelled old. The cover and sheets had visible fresh stains on them. Complete turn off . We checked out as soon as we checked in
Not all staff was friendly those who where were fantastic. Breakfast was the worst I’ve ever had at one of their locations and I was extremely disappointed with it. We stay at these location over others because of the breakfast. Next would be we went to the front desk to requested towels and were told they couldn’t give us any and someone would be up with them shortly. We explained we needed them now because we were heading out. An hour later still no towels. 3 days of showering twice a day for a wrestler requires a towel each time so we needed it then. No one explained that there was also no cleaning in between days or we would have requested extra towels at checkin. Just because of COVID is no reason to slack on service. If anything it’s a time to improve and focus on the customers that are coming. Will make me think twice about your locations as we make reservations these next two months for our every weekend trips.
Very disappointed in the condition of this once stellar hotel destination. Notwithstanding the current Covid situation, the hotel was in sad shape. It was very clean and very sanitized. Just sad to see the deterioration. I always enjoyed the made to order breakfasts. Anyway - hope they can regain their one time status as a great place to stay. Dinner in Ruth’s Chris was wonderful as always.
The room was nice and spacious but very outdated. The chairs were all stained. The elevator and lobby floors were disgusting! Looked like they hadn’t been mopped in a couple of weeks! The pool had a nasty film on the top that was visible from the hallway. We went down for breakfast and although the food was decent the lady serving the eggs and ham was extremely rude! We ate dinner at Ruth’s Chris the night before and it was amazing.
It was horrible This hotel is the new party place for children’s parties in all you here all day long Saturday is children running up and down the hallway screaming and waking up from 6:45 AM to 10:00 PM at night it was horrible I waited from 2 o’clock to 8 o’clock for towels and sheets the light blue out in my bathroom it took them an hour and a half to come and fix that
The first room we checked into was filthy and had rusty exposed screws coming out of the a/c and furniture. There were holes in the walls and paint chipping. I asked if they were sold out and if not, we would appreciate a move to another suite or we were going to leave. They moved us and although not quite as dirty and in disrepair, it was still not good. We have stayed in several hotels during Covid and they have all had strict standards. This hotel was dirty.
The lady at the front desk was so great!! She really was a joy to speak with and she repeatedly said happy birthday since it was in a couple days! Awesome customer service and being in that industry that’s what you must have to keep repeat customers. I’ll absolutely stay at this location again just based on that simple fact. The people that work for you are the most important part of the business and that’s what’ll keep the customers coming back!! Great job and thank you!
I always stay at the embassy suites when there’s one available where I’m traveling to. However on this trip the services wasn’t the best. I was to by one of the house keepers that I had to request fresh towels from the front desk. Well I tried calling the front desk several times with no answer. So then I went to the front desk to try to get the towels myself and was told they will be delivered to my room. Well I am back in Tennessee and I still haven’t received the towels.
My husband and I usually stay at this Embassy when we go to Birmingham (which is several times a year) and I have never been so disappointed. The common areas were dirty, food remnants, paper, etc everywhere in the hallways and elevators. Only 2 working elevators...we were put into a handicap accessible suite that was missing the majority of the "amenities" lotion, luggage stand, paper & pen. Then the bugs on the walls!!! Very disappointed and will now have to find somewhere else in Birmingham to stay.
It was a nice good comfortable stay good breakfast
