    I don't know if I'll return!!
Upon arrival, I was greeted with a rude front desk person... As he was checking me in he kept dealing with other people while not excusing himself which was rather rude... When i got to the room i notice their was only 2 pillows that were very small and no coffee... So later on that day I went back to the front desk to ask for more pillows and coffee. When we returned to the room at night time... There was no coffee still and no new pillows... We had a bit of a rough sleep that night. On the second day i notices flies in the room... I let a staff member know about it and they simply shroud their shoulder like they wanted me to tell them what to do (fix the issue)... As per our last night in NYC we went to there roof top bar where we had rude service all night... One server even said to us "I didn't think you'd order anything". What does having to order something have to do with what kind of treatment i should recieve. So this is why I writting a review as to the lack of great hospitality.

Tired looking with exception of the lobby
We we're disappointed to find that their roof top pool was closed due to renovations. It was not mentioned and it is the main reason we picked this hotel.

Excellent...but room was very hot and uncomfortable to sleep. Air conditioning unit was broken...and why should you need air conditioning in the middle of winter?

Good stay at the Empire Hotel
Hotel is very well located a few yards from Lincoln Center, subway station (66th Street) and Central Park. It is not a touristy area which is great when you want to relax away from the big crowds of Times Square. Good restaurants in the area but if you are looking for fast food places, you will need to walk a few blocks down to 50th street near Times Square. They upgraded my room upon arrival, bed was very cozy. Staff was good and friendly. Good value for the price, I would stay at this hotel again.
