Daiichi Hotel Annex, Tokyo
It was super convenient location with a lot of local food variety close by! Just 5 mins walk to Ginza and fish market. The only concern is you can hear the trains at 6am onwards if you are not a deep sleeper. Not a problem to me :)

Sleepless in Tokyo
Soundproof of the room was bad. The walls in my hotel room were creaking every minute all night, especially the wall behind my bed. I requested for a change of room on the 2nd day and was "convinced" by the reception that my room is the best and quietest room and that I should stick with it - sleepless night for the next 4 nights. While I understood this could be due to the (not so close) proximity to the train tracks, surely there could be something done to ensure that the hotel guests get a good-night sleep, which is the bare minimum any hotel guest would ask for? Having said that, the rooms were probably "calling" for a renovation...

You will love it. Location is the best.
This hotel located just the edge of southern end of Ginza area, luxurious shopping district, neighboring to Shinbashi area, famous as the area you can see the everyday life of Japanese office workers. This means you can enjoy being the shopping and fancy restaurants in Ginza and reasonable lunch and drinking places in Shinbashi at night. This hotel is operated by Hanky-Hanshin, Daiichi Group whose name is known in Japan as hotel group relatively expensive and good service, but this particular location is not as expensive as other hotels they own. The only reason why is this facility is a bit aged. For example, the room key is still physical key, not a card key so that you have to drop it to the front desk when you leave for shopping. Overall, this hotel maintains its quality service, hospitality. I like it.
