Awake all night with critters active in the walls
This was by far and away the most expensive hotel for my journey - I wish I'd better read reviews first as I was NOT pleased. -Front desk staff unhelpful and downright rude -Ok, this is might gross some out but all night, heard rats or critters in the walls scratching and scurrying about -Very dated hotel -Despite it being cold out, room was damp and stuffy -NO A/C * I requested assisted room. If you have someone with special needs, forget it, they don't give a *hit. Stairs in some rooms which require steep climb as room is split level. Wish I'd read reviews before having the worst night at this grand old hotel. Reported critters in the wall and they 'noted it'.
