Very large! Lots of walking to your room if on the ocean side. Parking was expensive. Staff was friendly. Our room was dirty (had not been cleaned yet) when we went into it, but they were quick to move us to another room, with a full ocean view, which was an upgrade.

The rooftop pool was closed for renovations. No notice of this provided by the property until checkin. The hotel should notify guests with reservations when facilities are closed. The hotel itself is old. It has a very nice looking lobby, but the rooms look old, with carpeting, curtains, etc. that look a couple decades old. Will not be my choice next time I need a beach vacation near LA.

We had a great stay at this hotel! It is in a safe and quiet area with plenty of restaurants nearby. Our room was ready, so they let us check in early. We had a large, clean room overlooking the marina. The beds and pillows were great!! The staff were always friendly and helpful, even getting me batteries when needed late at night. The concierge booked us a tour of LA with pick up and drop off right at the hotel. They have all the amenities - a nice pool area with hot tub, fitness area, lobby bar, small shop that was always open, and bike rentals which was great. The on-site parking was expensive, and the hotel did not have a shuttle bus, which would have really made this an absolutely great choice. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Some of the main parts do the property had been updated however our room had a strong odour to it, the carpet had numerous stains on it leading up along the wall. The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling off and the tub was old/needing repair to the ceramic portions of it. The hallways were dark. Some of the front desk staff were unhelpful to dismissive. The location is not central to the beach.

This was such a great hotel! The staff were so friendly and always went above and beyond. The room itself was great and met all our needs. The location was the best part of this hotel as it was walking distance to about anything you needed. Would definitely come back the next time I’m in LA.
