Fantastic
There was not a lot to do or offered at this resort. A lack of communication between staff causes unnecessary issues and stress for guests. The Breakfast was fabulous! Great staff from the Sous Chef to the servers great service!! Good and tasty breakfast. There were a few operational issues with regards to no working phones in the rooms , However the resort has hired a new operational Manager and other staff and I am confident all issues with be looked at and resolved for future guests.
Staff was great. Good food. Rooms were clean public spaces clean. One restaurant and one bar. Not a beach front property. There was a road in between. Lots of stairs as resort is on a hillside. Beach is public and down quite a few stairs. No chairs or umbrellas on beach.
We were not allowed to get in the room earlier but they did allow the kids to use the pool and gave us a complementary drink. Staff were always smiling and friendly
We had to wait a long time to get our room, I was so tired I needed a bed to rest.
I like the fact that the hotel was close to the beach.
The property is an old ,they trying they best to up keep the gardens and outside structures in good appearance;however, the inside structure requires some renovations. The bath in bathroom needs replacing, they was stain in the bath tub and toilet.
The customer service was excellent. Front desk, food and beverage staff, maintenance, housekeeping, and management were all very friendly.
Only gave it 3 stars bc of the customer service and food at the restaurants. The resort needs to work on its upkeep. So many things need to be painted, scrubbed or cleaned, and renovated. They shut of the water for a day to fix a busted pipe which they had to dig up to get too and then when they turned it back on there was no hot water and the water was brown. Our room smelt like raw sewage from the first night, it was coming from the AC unit. Outside light on the balcony didn't work. Bathroom door locks itself, had to call front desk to open it. The resort doesn't have room service but their restaurant Waves has great food. I recommend the mac n cheese, burger, and tacos. They also have a happy hour menu 2 for 1 drinks. Vibe is nice, great music, friendly staff and kid friendly. They have a lounge side and family side to the resto. Bring mosquito spray BC it's all outdoors and right on the beach. Breakfast was great too. Friendly and inviting staff. Egg, waffle, fresh fruit stations great selection for typical island breakfast (oatmeal, callaloo, smoke Herrin, bacon, chicken sausage, hash browns, raisin bread, Lil muffins, and cakes...juices, coffee/tea, milk n cereal. A good variety for everyone. Everyone always says good morning or buenas dias. Adult and seperate shallow kids pool and hot tub. Pools were clean but the decks needed to be cleared, chairs scrubbed or painted or replaced, more umbrellas put up etc... Just not inviting. The tiles are very slippery when wet.
A beachfront property, soothing sounds of crashing sea waves, courteous staff and the general aura of calm
