Great hotel in an excellent location
Great hotel in an excellent location. One of our rooms was a bit cold but they very quickly brought us a portable heater. Plenty of Ggreat bars and restaurants nearby.

The hotel turned the air conditioning off the day we arrived had a little window in our room. It was so hot couldn’t sleep. Room was in the 5th floor so had to lug 2big suitcases up the stairs to our room

We stayed for one day before going on a cruise. Everything is fine, except the elevator was broken, which is a bit of a problem for my wife to walk up four flights of stairs.

Great location, not such a great hotel.
The hotel wins on location and the bed was comfortable but that's about all, I'm sorry to say. The view shown is only available from one room at the top of the hotel. Ours was at the back and, at the weekend, there's a street market so you get the noise of it setting up. The room could definitely do with some refurbishment. The fridge doesn't work, the heating/cooling didn't work properly and the shower fixing didn't allow you to have the shower set at the right angle resulting in water all over the floor. Although a hairdryer is provided, it is one of those very old and slow ones fixed in the bathroom so I wish I'd brought my own. There was a bad drain type smell in the corridors and stairwell the whole time we were there so not very pleasant. Marseille is a great city and the location of the hotel is brilliant but I'll look for somewhere else next time. Overall, disappointing for the money.

Exceptional 10.0
The hotel was so central--very close to the port, many different types of restaurants, and the metro. In addition, I chose the hotel because it was so close to the Tourism office, where many tours start. I had a narrow room--perfect for one person. I had two windows with a view to the port--not sure if I would choose that again since I was so close to the port anyway, is the extra charge worth it.

Faded elegance- but lovely high ceilings
Very near the Vieux Port. Rooms with lovely high ceilings and a bath. Faded elegance but with charm. I got a special rate of E 95. Breakfast was limited and at 13.50 very expensive. I appreciated free access to a computer and printer.

Muddy shower water!!
Great suite but the shower water was muddy!! In the mid-morning, my girlfriend and I woke to shower before heading to the airport and there was little water dripping from the taps and shower. I called reception to find out why and the staff member said that it would be back in a minute with no apology. So I got into the shower and it was back but dark brown and with soil! I immediately called back to find out and again there was no apology and some sort of casual idea that this was normal and then had little understanding about why I was so frustrated! It was a real shame for the stay to end in this way. See image below (it was actually even darker at first but I didn't manage to capture until this point).

Hotel is dated and in need of repairs and updating - notably the giant leak in the ceiling of the dining room. Bedding was not very comfortable. Staff was adequate but not overly welcoming. The best thing about the hotel was the location, despite the unsightly abandoned & derelict storefront on the ground level.

Nice hotel if you are visiting Marseilles
First, this hotel made our trip to Marseilles. We had to drive through rundown neighborhoods to get there, but the hotel and the port area was an oasis in the midst. It is an easy walk to the historic area. The staff was very helpful and kind. Loved the room: very spacious, modern, and comfortable. The bathroom was huge, and had everything except an outlet. We had a small view of the port from our window, which I loved. The breakfast buffet was worth it, having a large selection and even hot foods. Parking garage was from the mall where we could park and was right across the street. If I ever go back to Marseilles, I would definitely stay there.
