It’s average
Overall it was fine. The valet area was packed when we arrived (I don’t think they had enough valet staff on hand to park the cars quick enough) and a bus driver came in and said the cars will be towed and proceeded to get in a heated argument with my husband. So it started our visit off on a bad foot. The hotel in my opinion should have stepped in as I believe they needed more staff on hand to avoid the overload of cars on the street (it was at busy check in time). They didn’t really do anything and it was pretty upsetting as the guests. The bathroom was also a little dirty (I added a photo of stains on the wall and hairs on the floor, which in my opinion would be very easy to clean up..I noticed it right away...) is and there were burn holes in the carpets. The location is awesome!

The location of the hotel is excellent for easy access to everything we wanted to do. The cleanliness was fine but the rooms are well used especially the carpet which was stained and the seam separated with strands of carpet sticking out. Fixtures on the walls are loose, there is no lock on the bathroom door. The rooms just need some TLC. The bellman who greets guests at the door was not very kind and was unable to get a word out of him when greeting him or asking him for assistance. He seemed put out when I approached him to call a cab. After the first couple of days I chose to avoid him. Some of the staff at the front desk were very good and others did not appear to care. If I planned to return to Chicago I would seek a room in one of the newer more modern hotels.

Poor value for money
The room was fine but not good value for money - better value had room rate been 50%.less - especially when a back-facing room.

Exceptional 10.0
The hotel was very close to all attractions and the metro service.

Sufficient hotel
The bell hops were friendly and extremely helpful, always asking if they could help us or needed something whenever we ventured out. The corner king room was spacious, but the bathroom was much too small and lacking useable counter space. The two elevators in the hotel were very small and painfully slow!! We had an issue with the a/c in our room. The maintenance person arrived promptly to fix the problem in a short time. The location was excellent and within walking distance to all the major sights.
