Pleasant stay!!!
Amazing stay!!! Excellent location. Walking distance to major businesses in the downtown financial district. Great service at the hotel. Everyone is very nice and helpful. Breakfast is great!

Great stay-walkable to Union Square
Good breakfast, comfy double beds. The shower stall was small, but the room is a good size, given its location and quality of the hotel. Neighborhood isn't too noisy, even when our room faces the street. It's about a 12-15 minutes walk up hill from Powell Bart station, while pulling a carry on luggage. Pretty convenient to take buses and Chinatown is a few blocks down, so have tons of restaurants around.

Great Location and staff
The General Manager and the entire staff are some of the friendliest people we have ever met. They are there to help with any concern and issue. It is important to remember that this is an old building / hotel...they are trying to revamp but certain things are still in the works. The internet is subpar in some areas and required mobile hotspot a few nights. However, the small problems were more than made up by the atmosphere, great personalities, and amazing location. We look forward to staying again!

The whole hotel had a musky smell and the first room they gave us was inbareable. Probably time to get rid of all the carpets including the elevator. The room was clean and bed was comfortable

Character Hotel with a nice experience.
Very nice small boutique-style hotel with great character. The staff was very nice./ clean! Great location with BART 8-10 minute walk. Unfortunately, the elevator wasn't working until the departure day, so the stairs to the 5th flr. was the gym for the week. Definitely a go to place in SFO.

Disappointed
The best part of the hotel is the breakfast - lots of options and delicious food. The hotel rooms need upgrades. The room is much smaller than what you see on pictures. The staff at the front desk are hit and miss. A couple of them never smile to guests or provide good information. The location is great but it is definitely not worth the amount paid.

Good stay at vintage court
This hotel was a good choice in San Francisco. It’s right between union square and china town. The room was a bit small but apparently that’s normal in San Francisco. Very clean and tidy.....I wish it had a microwave and a bigger fridge, however. We were on the 7h floor and the elevator broke on our last day but that was hardly the hotel’s fault as other guests abused it. The staff was very helpful and friendly and I loved the free wine at happy hour! Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

Great location
Good location, very small rooms but we didn't stay in the rooms so much so we didn't mind. There are a lot of options for food, bars, sightseeing that is within walking distance. I'd definitely recommend for the location and price.

Nice People, Uncomfortable Stay
PROS: It's a beautiful and historic building, staff are super friendly, and you're very close to everything. I can't believe $160/night is "budget", but here we are. Makes sense if you're looking for a budget hotel in the city that you won't spend much time hanging out in. Breakfast was extensive and complimentary. CONS: overpowering musty smell in hallways and rooms. WiFi was terrible, which was not great since I was traveling for work and wanted to do some work from my hotel room. Comforters were super thin and the room was quite drafty, so it was rather hard to relax. The lobby entry is through the sports bar, which I wasn't a huge fan of.
