Amazing stay!!! Excellent location. Walking distance to major businesses in the downtown financial district. Great service at the hotel. Everyone is very nice and helpful. Breakfast is great!
The hotel was very conveniently located. The room was very nice and clean. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The buffet breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Great location rooms were a bit small but I knew that when I booked. We had a nice stay there
From the hotel picture in your Website you can see the hotel lobby and the reception desks. The entrance main door to this lobby was closed by the management and, diverted it to the other door leading to the Bar and Lounge. They moved the reception to the bar counter so that the employees can serve as receptionist and bar attendant I found it very weird for an expensive Hotel. Tow Stairs to go down to the Reception / Bar counter and up to the Lobby to take the left. It is very unpleasant for people with heavy baggage or for the elderly. The only Left in the 8 floors hotel was out of order for longer than a day and we had to use the stairs up and down for 2 days. The small closet in the room was with no light. The carpets are very old but clean. There is no slop to make it easy for the client with lageges or with wheelchairs. The disable excess was closed as the main entrance door was diverted to the Bar/ Lounge entrance. My impression is that the Hotel management is trying to save the maximum, while the Hotel fees is high.
The location was perfect. We got muni passes and took the cable car every day. It was close to Chinatown, Union Square, the tour bus depot and all a main transportation hub. The lobby is closed to the street so you have to enter and exit through the sports bar, down and up stairs just to get to the elevator. For a pretty basic bar the drinks are very pricey... $16 for a well drink! Breakfast was not bad except it was not replenished very well and we had to wait for something almost every morning. Bed was comfortable and lots of towels provided in the teeny bathroom. I’d go back there because of location and price was good for an expensive city.
Good breakfast, comfy double beds. The shower stall was small, but the room is a good size, given its location and quality of the hotel. Neighborhood isn't too noisy, even when our room faces the street. It's about a 12-15 minutes walk up hill from Powell Bart station, while pulling a carry on luggage. Pretty convenient to take buses and Chinatown is a few blocks down, so have tons of restaurants around.
Great location central to cable car and union square, Chinatown Clean and with character
Everything was great except the wifi was very weak inside our room, we had to go to hallway or lobby to use wifi. I would still stay here again though because the weak wifi was just a minor annoyance.
The General Manager and the entire staff are some of the friendliest people we have ever met. They are there to help with any concern and issue. It is important to remember that this is an old building / hotel...they are trying to revamp but certain things are still in the works. The internet is subpar in some areas and required mobile hotspot a few nights. However, the small problems were more than made up by the atmosphere, great personalities, and amazing location. We look forward to staying again!
The whole hotel had a musky smell and the first room they gave us was inbareable. Probably time to get rid of all the carpets including the elevator. The room was clean and bed was comfortable
