Not so sure this time around!
This was my second stay here. I really enjoyed it the first time and found it to be clean and well-serviced, so I decided to rebook the same hotel for my business travels. This time around I found my room to be less than clean, actually very dusty and remnants on the floor. The toilette looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the previous guest left, the phone in my room did not work, and I had to call for extra toilette paper when I ran out. After almost 1 hour of waiting for it to be delivered, I had to call a second time before they actually delivered it. I was less impressed with my stay this time around. :-(

Crew handles tech problems 👍
The computers were down at the Fox & Hound, but the help were doing their best to deal with it. I had cash & was ok.

Room was overpriced and not clean
The facility itself is older, but that adds character. Our room, however, was run down. Bathroom was not clean. Pictures being held together with clamps etc. Enjoyed the Fox and Hound bar.

I like it But
I like the Cheshire and the staff is very welcoming and helpful. The rooms need some maintenance and the cleaning staff is not thorough.

Charming and unique
My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and fell in love with it. No other hotel we've stayed in has this much personality. The decor, the patio, the lobby, the way every room is named after an author with its own theme, everything about it makes for a memorable stay. The bar is great. And you HAVE to go to Basso next door. Like the hotel, the decor and style of the restaurant is one of the most unique I've ever seen. And the food is just as unique and flavorful. We've been back once so far and plan to make it a tradition.
