Nice and clean for COVID stay
We enjoyed our stay at this Hampton Inn in Seaside which was a 2 mile drive to the tourist spots in Monterey. The room was very clean and we saw how the cleaning staff spent hours on each of the rooms before the next guest due to the enhanced COVID cleaning standards, so we left a generous tip. The property has free parking that easily fit our truck. We really liked that the hotel is right on the biking and walking path to Monterey, so we walked to Del Monte state beach. The free but reduced grab and go breakfast was better than expected. As a vegetarian, I made myself a toasted bagel and added peanut butter and bananas. They had muffins, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, juice, and yogurt along with a meat breakfast burrito.

No so good of a location
Room had no pleasant view at all. It was also noisy coming from freeway traffic and at times from guests slamming their room doors. Otherwise it was a comfortable stay and the room was very clean.

I really prefer Hampton Inn pre-Covid. Picked this hotel thinking pool and breakfast. No pool. Don’t know how I missed it. The person who checked us in was not very welcoming. No thank yous from her. Almost felt like I was an inconvenience bc I asked for extra pillows. Room was clean and bed and pillows were comfy but Complimentary breakfast was super lame. The only hot option were toasted bagels and frozen breakfast burritos with eggs, sausage and potatoes that you can microwave. So if you don’t eat pork or meat, you’re SOL. Had I known...
