The staff was super friendly and helpful. The patio area was also very charming and nice for a drink and dinner/lunch/breakfast. It’s a pleasant place to stay if you’re expecting 3 star quality. The building, the amenities and the room size and quality just does not live up to my expectations of a 4 star hotel. Rooms are small and walls so thin you can hear your neighbor talking. Seeing that the price was just a touch cheaper than some of the 5 stars on the promenade we felt a bit cheated. That said, had the price been considerably cheaper than the other hotels, we would have felt satisfied.

Fantastic location. Very comfortable and quiet, which was surprising given the prime location. I would totally stay there again.

All I needed was your great hotel- the rooms, great bathrooms, great breakfast, pool area & the personnel in general/ we wanted for nothing. I had wanted 2 days to tour in a car with just my daughter & not a bus full with headsets, etc. You lined me up with Smartours- Stephane who drove us around for 2 days- perfect. Perfect time

When I spend well over 400.00 a night in a 5 Star Hotel to celebrate our final night in France? I don’t expect the ladies at the front desk to be rude and judging. I don’t expect to spend the night in the smallest room in the annals of the hotel with 2 twin beds squished together behind a rollout bed for my 23 yr old daughter that I had to climb over to get to the bathroom... with a view of a dirty table and a Rock. Not a coffee maker in sight.. and the pillows were like rocks. The food was meh.. the waitstaff was fabulous!

My husband and I stayed at La Perouse in late June ‘19. Our overall experience was okay. The location was fabulous, just a few minutes’ walk from the many bars/restaurants in Old Town. We also enjoyed the pool, which was clean and quiet. Unfortunately, the value seemed “off” to me. We paid ~$620 USD/night, expecting a room with balcony views over the sea. We received a room that had beautiful views, but the balcony was TINY. Only enough room for a small table and chairs. The view was fantastic, but based on pictures we saw on the website, we expected more. We literally had barely enough room to sit on the balcony. We had anticipated spending more time on our “balcony,” but because it was so small, had to spend more time at the pool. In addition, after one particularly hot day exploring the coast, we were very tired and sought reprieve at the pool. It was 7p and we brought our own wine, not realizing outside beverages were not allowed. A server from the hotel bar scolded us and we immediately put away our wine. I realize that we were in the wrong, however it was not intentionally done and I really don’t appreciate being scolded by the staff. I found it very rude - he could have told us in a much nicer way. Especially since the bar service by the pool was odd - you had to walk into the restaurant to order drinks, that would then be brought to you. Finally, the hotel is a little outdated - typical for Europe, but again, we paid $620 USD/night so expected something nicer.

All of staying experience is the best of best! Except for, the small room size and disappointing extra-bed compared to the high price which for 3 individuals. Anyway I def. wanna revisit and recommend to my friend without send thought.
