Hot like a sauna
My AC was being weird…. I told one of the front desk people that it had been 77 degrees in my room all evening… they told me that the AC is motion sensor so I waited a while and they said if that doesn’t work they would bring me a fan… no offer to move me or anything… my room finally hit 74 degrees that morning before check out it was every uncomfortable and $150 plus $50 deposit I would have expected colder AC… I took the photo before i checked out

Terrible Experience at DoubleTree South Charlotte
I recently had the displeasure of staying at DoubleTree by Hilton South Charlotte Tyvola, and I must say it was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. The property itself is very old and outdated, and it is evident that proper maintenance and upkeep are lacking. Upon entering the 6th floor, I was greeted with a strong, musty odor and a general lack of cleanliness. To make matters worse, during my stay, there was a significant flood on my room's floor. In the middle of the night, around 4 AM, the hotel staff informed us that we needed to move to a different floor due to the flooding. Not only did they fail to apologize for the inconvenience, but there was also a complete lack of empathy and concern for our well-being. My family and I were forced to hastily pack our belongings and relocate to another floor, wading through ankle-deep water in our shoes and socks. It was a distressing and uncomfortable experience, and the fact that no one acknowledged the inconvenience or expressed any sympathy was incredibly disappointing. The desk clerk assured us that the General Manager would contact us and compensate us for our inconvenience. However, to my dismay, no one from the management team contacted us during our stay or afterward. It was as if our concerns and negative experience were unimportant to them. I have previously stayed at other Hilton properties and have had positive experiences, so I find it baffling that Hilton would allow this particular hotel to continue

Not a great experience
The staff is kind and professional but the pool was indefinitely closed(the whole reason we booked here on a long road trip for a swim break) and there was a major pipe leak causing water damage to multiple floors. We were placed in two rooms either with hallway industrial humidifiers plugged in the room (first room) or 8 dehumidifiers lined up and running outside the room. BOTH rooms were unacceptable. We requested a room away from the damage and we’re finally placed in a room on a floor above the leak. Once we finally settled we discovered there were not enough towels (2) for my 2 sons and me. Staff were attentive but it was a difficult welcome.
