This was an excellent hotel. The beds were extremely comfortable. The pillows in the room were terrible...far too fluffy for me. I called the front desk and they asked me what kind of pillow would I prefer, I said anything that's flatter than this. They showed up with 4 different pillows for me to try! My pillow was amazing! I am somewhat of a 'needy' guest at times. I am not afraid to ask for help or information. All of the employees I spoke with were kind, helpful and professional (of course, I am kind and respectful which goes a long way when you're travelling). During the day, this resort seems dull and not very active, however at night it's a whole different ball game and is a hot spot for diners and events. My kids and I enjoyed our time spent at the pool area and we rented a Cabana one day. I found it to be a good value as it included food and drinks. I've rented Cabanas at other places before for similar cost so I didn't think it was overly expensive. My daughter really enjoyed the kids club and asked to go back every day. We were recovering from colds while we were there and the resort was very accommodating to our needs leaving extra towels and Kleenexes and providing lots of extra touches! Drawbacks of this resort: the restaurants on site are really expensive and you NEED reservations, the resort is further away from the main part of surfers paradise although the tram is about a block away.
The staff were amazing and couldnt do enough for us
Place under renovation but no renovating actually taking place so bars are closed no mini bar can’t take advantage of spar because I didn’t book weeks in advance no discounts offered for lack of services had to fill out COVID19 forms a dozen times even though I am staying here had to go and question reception just to get room service. Spent over $1000 for two nights as food and watered down drinks are so expensive. I have had better service at much cheaper places golden towers over Marriott any day
Loved the Teppanyaki with friends And the service
Close to the beach, great room and the Hotel has amazing facilities. Beautiful pool, restaurants, etc. Not the cheapest Hotel on the coast, but if you want to spend a little more to get a little nicer experience its worth it.
The pool area is to die for. The kids had a wonderful time under the waterfall, swimming with the fish and sliding down the waterslide. We had a brilliant stay and the breakfast buffet is one of the best we've tried (only surpassed by Sails in the desert- Uluru). Such friendly service staff. They even provided our kids with bandaids. Nothing was too difficult. Will definitely be going again!
Rooms are dated and arm chair was not clean. You could visibly see where many people had sat and rested their arms. Tiles and grout in the bathroom appeared dirty due to their age.
The Marriott is very classy albeit getting a little old. I would stay here again.
Great pools areas to keep kids entertained, plenty of fabulous food choices
Great service, very kid friendly. Nice luxury touches
