Perfectly situated, book early for a good deal.
Great location, half-way between the ski area and Rutland. Friendly service, updated rooms and a great buffet breakfast.

Quaint hotel in mountains.
Very quaint hotel with ski chalet feel. Comfortable and clean room. Very pleasant hotel staff that made our stay enjoyable. Only drawbacks were restaurant options were far from location, and breakfast had limited selection.

Good value
Good value, ok if you adjust your expectations accordingly, excellent location for hiking trails (AT and LT within walking distance). Nice restaurants nearby. Friendly staff, swimming pool and balcony in the back not as advertised, hotel lot also not as advertised, breakfast leaves to be desired. Room clean and very large (king). Main downside: lingering mildew, musty damp smell in the room, very "old feel".

Breakfast was above average!! Very, very good! Bathroom needs new flooring and caulking.

Needs upgrades
The room was outdated, ceiling had drip marks and was in rough shape. There was a creepy massage chair in the front lobby- should have been more private and just felt very out of date and not what you would expect in 2018. Beautiful location but not worth the money. Also no parking- there was snow everywhere and no place to park the car. Had to leave it on the side of the parking lot. Not safe
