Check the parking before booking.
Hotel is undergoing major renovations. No in-house restaurant or bar. Terrible situation for parking and extremely expensive.

6/10 Good

Needs some updating.
The hotel rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. However, the bathrooms looked to be decades old. The toilets were from the 80’s (very low), so ask for a handicap room if you have any trouble getting up from a low seat. Our sink had a crack in the porcelain that had been sealed at least a couple of times. If you have the option, I wouldn’t include breakfast in the reservation. They are undergoing renovation to the restaurant and the breakfast isn’t worth much. The eggs are overcooked and barely warm, there was cold cuts and cheese, no bacon, sausage or potatoes. Thank goodness for a toaster to heat the bread and bagels and decent regular coffee. The staff said the cappuccino machine was broken. There are 2 coffee shops just outside of the hotel and I’m sure it wouldn’t cost $20 for a basic hot breakfast. At least the staff was nice and very pleasant.

Construction 7 days per week
There's a reason for the cost of this hotel being less than nearby hotels - never ending construction without any warning. They don't mention this when you're booking the room, but once you check-in, you'll see a note on the desk stating that there will be construction, or painting, or something for the next 2 days, starting at 8:30am. On Friday afternoon, they'll slide a new note under your door, stating that there will be more construction happening all weekend, starting at 7:30am. It never ends. "Free breakfast" is now a crappy buffet. Don't ask for a coffee and a plate of eggs to take to your room - you must eat there. Had to seat myself, serve myself, grab my own cutlery, ask for coffee, ask for cream, and ask for the bill. The only time there was a server was at first, telling me I can't take anything to my room, and when I had to ask for the bill. Oh, and another $27/day for parking. If you want cheap - fine. If you want a vacation where you can sleep past 7:30 - no.

Ok, pricey for what you got.
Average hotel, nothing special. Sort of interesting location on the waterfront but expensive for what you got. $29 to park in an unsecured lot. Location was convenient to seabus.

Quality in flux
There were a couple of issues…major construction with hammering and powered tools going off before 8:00 am on week days. The construction made it hard to find hotel. It appeared that the front desk was over staffed with four people at a time visiting with each other and housekeeping understaffed. One day our room wasn’t cleaned by 5:00 pm when we returned.

10/10 Exceptional

Vancouver hotel
Once we found this hotel it was quite nice. It was clean and comfortable. Parking was underground and since we have a handicapped tag it was easy. Otherwise would have been difficult until the shops closed at 5:00. This hotel is in a shopping mall and is hard to find.

A great option just outside downtown Vancouver
We stayed at the Lonsdale Quay Hotel for a couple's one-night getaway. The location is great: very close to Burrard Inlet and Vancouver Harbour, with views of the city from the balcony. It is steps away from the SeaBus to Vancouver, which makes it an excellent place from which to access the city. Do yourself a favour and try to avoid having to drive to the hotel and rely on public transit instead. The SeaBus is a pleasant and enjoyable way to get back and forth to downtown. The room was a bit small and basic but the bed was comfortable. We had a rate that included the breakfast buffet, which was really good. It was a little difficult to find the entrance at first. Be aware that the hotel is situated above the public market and you just need to take an elevator at the north end to access it. At present there's a good deal of work going on to refurbish the market. It didn't really bother us, but it might affect some people. Access to the market is really easy and there are some great shops to see there.
