When I arrived the room smelled like fish. I requested a new room. I was told “well we’re by the ocean.” The ocean didn’t smell as fishy as the room. I did like that it was within walking distance to restaurants and close to the cruise port. I won’t stay here again. I only stayed because my usual hotel wasn’t available.

the hotel was closed for renovation and Hotels.com never contacted me to verify a change of Hotels I found out it was closed the day before my trip and didn't know if I actually had a room reserved and confirmed and was treated as a walk in guest at the hotel that my reservation was transferred to

The 666 of pier 66! The good n bad
It’s being torn down so doesn’t much matter!, did have room keys malfunction, n not work 3TIMES!!! Took 20 plus minutes for security, only to tell us we need to Walk a county mile to front desk n get new keys , 3TIMES!, once after parties 1:30 at nite!!!! Also I had to open patio door wall, to hard n heavy for my wife!, no microwave n small frig. We were there for 4 nites!, also tho I was a vender, n got a discount, guest paid $30 a nite to Park n leave car!!!, staff was great n helpful very friendly, front desk manager not so much ( upon check in) second time I stayed , great grounds n pool, to bad it’ll all be history except tower, we were given free breakfast n drink coupons for the lock situation

Impending renovation
Our overall stay was enjoyable. Unfortunately the property is closing for renovation. The pool maintenance was poor as it seemed they did not run the filters or do any cleaning of the waterline and it was dirty, slimey and sticky. The pool snack area early in the morning did not always have sufficient on hand cash and forced patrons to either charge to the room or return with a credit card. We have stayed there the previous year 2018 and it was much better I assumed the upcoming closing caused cost saving cuts in upkeep. Employees had a low level of morale and we’re scrambling to find future employment. However, they did say the management was providing job fairs but only a few had promising opportunities.
