I had such a lovely stay here :)
I had a lovely and friendly welcome from Mathias on my first trip to New Zealand on arriving at this lovely hotel. I was given a map and easily gained my bearings. The hotels location is near to the centre of the town but had enough distance to be quiet for rest and sleep post travel. The room was comfortable and cosy and was well appointed and had the added benefits of a kettle and fridge as well as safe. Staff worked really hard in all areas and were very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts for me had a good choice of hot and cold options and evening meal options certainly filled me nicely after a busy day of adventures, I wasn't disappointed by any of the meals at all!. All of the areas were well maintained and the hotel looked and felt really clean and enjoyed taking my meals in the lovely spacious lobby/restaurant areas. I would certainly stay here again - thank you for such a lovely, comfortable and restful stay :D.

The only issues I had were that the cleaning people came in even though I had the DND sign on my door and the construction noise from the street. James took care of the cleaning people and they didn't come in again. Construction you can't do anything about.

Book only as a last resort! Bait & Switch.
I booked a panorama hotel room. Months in adcance. We arrive to the hotel after a delayed flight and they tell me they are 100% booked for that room and it is not available. They then downgrade us to a parking lot view and make us pay the same. It is Easter Weekend so we have to option at 9:30pm. I contact to complain through hotels.com and they told them it was for a different reason and they would not provide any compensation. No apology at the hotel or their representative. So buyer beware.

This may be the nicest Holiday Inn I have EVER stayed in. We were traveling with our son and this was our first visit to New Zealand and Queenstown. The room was great. Had awesome view of the mountains around Queenstown. Was quick walk into town (10 min). Had laundry services which was great as we had been in Australia for 10 days before arriving. Room had refrigerator, dining table, sink, dishes. Bed was great. Really enjoyed our stay here. Would stay again if we get back to Queenstown.
