Just what we needed
Our trip was because a family member was in the hospital. The hotel offered everything we needed. And the staff was amazingly helpful.. and the food in the resturant was amazing as well as the drinks in the bar. Annie was amazing and so was Amy. Highly recommend

Money grabby
Regrettable stay. Originally I was supposed to be there for two nights, but I left after the first. There was no hot water in the morning, and his apology was "points". I also learned they held $600 in incidentals without mentioning. I paid $20 extra in case my plans changed so that I would have the option to cancel. But they claimed they waived the cancellation fee because the water wasn't hot. Also, valet is $47/night. So a $225/night stay is actually nearly $275. When we arrived, it took many loops around the blocks before loading trucks got out of the way, there's construction on that block and no one from valet came out, so it was a stressful arrival. The restaurant staff and drinks were great, but that was the exception to how the hotel is ran.

2/10 Poor

1 hour long checkin and blood on bathroom floor
Two separate issues: Room 916 was not cleaned. Personal belongings including a duffle bag and ear wax ear plugs were left behind and there were drops of blood on the bathroom floor. We called the front desk at midnight and he brought up windex and gloves and asked us to clean it ourselves and said he would leave a note and to tell the desk in the morning. Monica at the front desk in the morning when we checked out said the room would be refunded once we told hotels.com. We arrived at 5pm and my original reservation was for the wrong date. Hotels.com provided excellent service to cancel that reservation. The front desk said they would do a walk-in reservation and that they had those two room types available. When they entered my credit card information their system had an error. they asked me to book through their website of app which said no rooms available. They told us to go to another hotel after 45 minutes of this. I was so happy to be able to find rooms for this hotel on hotels.com. I would expect that as soon as their system had an error they would immediately attempt to call support, instead of directing the guest to book it themselves and then to say to go to another hotel after spending 45 minutes. In summary Room 1216 was wonderful, 916 had blood on the floor that we were asked to clean ourselves, and we spent an hour trying to check in before eventually just rebooking the room ourselves. Please work with Monica at the front desk for a refund of 916. Thank you.
