This place is PERFECT for a stay Iowa City. The hotel is amazing. Rooms are gorgeous. It’s less than an hour walk to Carver and Kinnick. Blocks away from food and night life. Highly recommended. I’d give it more than 5 stars if I could.

They have the most amazing bowling alley/arcade/bar that serves food and has great music. Bed was not confortable, no turndown service unless you ask. No towels unless you ask. No shop for travelers, had to walk a bit to find things I needed. No way to check out from the tv. TV has movies but you needed an account for most services, didn't have VUDU service so I couldn't use mine. Felt like fleas were jumping on me all night. Lots of pets in this hotel. Chairs in the room had stains on them. Outlet on the table was not properly secured and came out of the table when I unplugged my phone. Iron leaked water. Kleenex tissue only had a few left, no replacement in sight. Staff had a room for me at 11am so I didn't have to wait until 4pm for check in. They also held my bags for me when I left, since I had 7 hours until my bus was leaving.

Disappointed
We arrived at 3:00 PM and were told our room was not ready. The front desk clerk was apologetic and suggested we go to the bar. Came back about 3:30 and was told it was still not ready. Ended coming back at about 6 and checked in. Had a diabetic low blood sugar at 1:30 AM and went to front desk. Asked clerk if they had any vending or soda and he said no. He was very nice and found a tiny jar of honey and said there is a convenience store down the street. Ended up walking there to purchase soda, barely made it before a potential emergency happened. To top it off, the next day took a shower before leaving and the water was luke warm at best. The people were nice but the inability to have any type of snack, soda and no hot water was very disappointing for a Hilton. Will definitely not stay there again when in Iowa City.
