We were not given the room type that hotels.com showed us when we selected the room and fee. We had paid extra to get a larger room. The people at the hotel could not and would not help us with the situation. We were given a smaller room at the larger room cost.

Great location

Great location, it’s where I always stay when I’m in Amsterdam. I think the move to a 3pm check in is over the top especially as I was contacted in the days running up to my stay I got offered an earlier check in for a fee. Also the breakfast is no longer included and the breakfast range has been drastically reduced compared to previous stays. I know things are tough but prices going up and services reduced is not great.

I enjoy this hotel and I would stay here again. There are a couple things that I think could be better but the pros highly outweigh the cons. The location is really fantastic. I could walk to most things within 20 minutes. The rooms were small. But it had everything that I needed and was very clean. I do love that they had body lotion in the bathroom. I did really enjoy their drink voucher in exchange for no room service. Their fitness center was OK. It was not very large. I do wish that they had a bottle of disinfectant available to wipe down machines. Their breakfast was excellent. However, the dinner was so so. For some reason, lots of restaurants stop serving on the earlier end in Amsterdam. I feel like they spent a lot of energy on their breakfast and there’s not at the same energy for the dinner service. There were a few very good restaurants very close. But I had to ask each one individually if they had dinner service. Overall, I think that there were a lot of very good things about this hotel. It is not perfect, but I would still highly recommend it and I would stay here again.

We have stayed here many times over the last 20 years and the staff has always been a pleasure to deal with. Sri was still a greeter and remembered us even though we haven't been back since pre-Covid. It was a pleasure to be greeted every morning when we came down to venture this great city. Lovely hotel, was almost a perfect review however there were a few minor details with the cleaning of the room (I.e the mirror in the bathroom had finger marks) one of the pillows had a stain. But overall was a pleasant stay and I will definitely be returning. Location was great.

Great central location. Restaurants, shopping and tram stations all very close by. We walked everywhere. Nice, friendly staff. Can order additional amenities such as coffee pods, bedding, etc easily online and they were delivered to room fairly quickly. Rooms are clean, updated, nice bathroom but the room is small and beds are hard, especially if you’re used to sleeping on any type of mattress topper such as memory foam. Walls were pretty thin too but it was fairly quiet during our stay so not a problem for sleeping.
