Alohilani is a huge resort
Nice hotel, room was tidy, room cleaned every second day, great gym and the pool deck and Swells bar was nicely done. Negative things were the mattress was very saggy, pillows were awful and the smell through the air conditioning each morning between 3am and 5am, which smelt like marijuana.

A bit loud for a family stay
Location great for shopping and access to restaurants. Checked in at 11am and room was available by noon (3 hours earlier than the guaranteed time). Was not informed that the room is close to the pool and on Saturday nights the music is extremely loud until 10:30pm. Called down at 10pm when our 7 year old was trying to sleep and it felt like a club in our room from the pool music. Our flight the following day was at 11pm so we asked for late checkout and they provided late checkout until 3pm. They also were able to hold our luggage until 7pm when we left to the airport. The pool and hot tub are pretty nice but can get busy. Great to go early to beat the crowd if you have a family.

This was our third trip in four years to this property. There are bigger resorts on Waikiki Beach, but you simply cannot beat the location of the 'Alohilani. Get the Ocean front room, you will not be disappointed. Fabulous views of the entire beach. Also, access to the Longboard Club is excellent with afternoon snacks/appetizers and breakfast each morning. We missed out on in 2021 due to pandemic, but it was back this year and as good as we remembered. Rooms tend to be on smaller side, but still sizable enough for my wife and 11 year old son to be comfortable. Our only complaint is that the stays seem to go by so quickly. On our next trip to Oahu, we will most definitely be back.

A Waikiki Experience
Great location with Waikiki Beach views! Recently and tastefully renovated. Amazing glass fish tank and seating in the lobby. Very convenient to restaurants, shopping, and surfing. Infinity pool was beautiful, hot tub was small and super crowded. Walking to the parking garage from the Ocean tower was a maze before 8am as certain doors including the pool door is locked even though the elevator sign says 5th floor has access to the parking garage. This area of Waikiki has its share of people living around the beach and some are confrontational, and love to talk loudly to them selves and to others in the middle of the night and during the day. Bless them, kindness goes a long way🙏
