Great choice for a Dublin hotel.
The staff at the North Star are fantastic and are the reason we are giving this hotel a 5/5. Our room heating/ac was not working so we were moved right away. The room was an upgrade in a newer section of the hotel and the room was perfect. Thank you Anna and staff for accommodating us so well. We also had dinner downstairs at the pub and David was our very fun, personable, and attentive server. The food was delicious! We arrived well before check in and so needed to leave our luggage while we went into town for the day. It was all taken care of and we returned to find our bags safely secured. Very reassuring. The hotel is right around the corner from the bus/train station so was convenient and surprisingly quiet.

Please manage maintenance work times better
Check-in was very slow. Also, there was maintenance work going on during our stay. This is unfortunate, however, starting drilling & hammering on the room above ours at 7am is totally unacceptable. It was very noisy and it totally ruined our stay.

Poor 2.0
Bad service, bad room that is not so clean and doesn't look like what the picture portrays.

Great stay
We stayed in a club room which was superb. Complimentary wine and nibbles in club lounge was a really lovely treat. If there was one niggle the train track runs right outside the rooms , noise was muffled but none the less there. The trains actually pass over reception area!!. Overall would love to stay here again . Recommend asking for a high up room.

For the cost the hotel was good enough. Clean rooms etc. The shower was a bit poor for my liking but for a stay on a budget it was good.
