Great location and staff, but needs some TLC!
Was disappointed with the condition of this hotel, because the photos make the place look really clean and well-kept. The carpet in my room (and another one I tried) had a number of very noticeable old stains, and the room(s) didn't smell so good. The glass on the front entrance of the hotel was cracked with some tape over it when I visited (I don't know how long that's been there though). There wasn't a great hot water supply to the shower (warm, not hot!). The impression I had is that it needs some maintenance and cleaning. On the plus side the location is great (close to many restaurants, subway, central location for all parts of Manhattan) and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
