Good hotel for a day in the Sun, If they allow you
They should provide pool service to arriving customers as a priority then departing customers..and wifi is very poor. Other than that, hotel is being renovated which is needed..

    Staycation!
My husband took me for a staycation at Bonaventure. We had a wonderful time. Relaxing at the pool and the food delivery was fast. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Didn't want to leave. Staff were friendly and everyone wore masks and kept their distance. Very relaxing weekend!!

Extra charge for use of pool.
I booked two hotels on my stay, one less expensive and this one. I chose this hotel because they had a nice pool and i thought I’d splurge. It cost more than double what I played at another hotel in the area. ($63, $137) The hotel rooms were very comparable, with a few extras here. Bigger tv, fridge, 50 more square feet. Bathrooms were comparable except the cheaper place had a new seamless shower while this hotel had a classic tub/shower combo. Parking underground was also more than double the cost here. :-( My biggest annoyance was that the swimming pool WAS NOT included. The concierge pointed out to me that there as a similar ad on hotels.com which offered use of the pool for almost $30 more! Their ad was very misleading and it depicted many photos of the pool. The fine print only mentioned surcharge for breakfast and any roll away bed needed. Nothing beside the amenity of outdoor pool. The conceirge was prepared for my complaint as it seemed like he had to deal with this on numerous occasions. In future, the price did not justify the difference in hotel. Especially with me only being allowed to view the nice pool from afar. Will not be returning to this hotel.

    Very Good 8.0
I would rate my overall experience a 6.5/10
It was a nice hotel. The blankets weren’t very clean and the bathroom in our king bed suite was quite small. Besides that, the staff was friendly. Our room was listen as one with city view but the view was just rooftops of over surrounding buildings. One thing I didn’t like was that the parking was very expensive. $24 a day without in and out privileges and around $50 a day for in and out privileges. If you will be exploring and staying close to downtown, everything is walking distance. The furthest place we walked to was a 30 min walk so you won’t need to use your car a lot and you can get away with paying $24 a day which is still quite a bit for full day parking since I’ve stayed at other hotels in the downtown core that have cheaper or even free parking for the length of your stay. There were some weird guests and we heard shouting outside our room one night. That could be due to COVID-19 and the fact that not many hotels are open and people are booking whatever they can find.

    Bad Adventure at Bonaventure
We were moved to 3 different rooms. The first one the bed was terrible as you sat on it it would lift and the mattress was old and horrible. Cleanliness is non existence which is concerning during covid. Everything is dark brown and you can see hand marks and liquid marks running down the doors. There was construction which made the room vibrate. The staff was quick to change our room. The 2nd room was so so and then we tried to take a shower. The shower head shot out and could have caused a bad injury. The 3rd room reaked of cigarette. At that point we had enough and got a refund and went to Best Western. Much better place.

    Pool not up and running
I know with Covid19 times are tough I booked on Hotels.com and did not see that the pool was closed and the gym. The only reason that I stayed at The Bonaventure was for the pool. I would have stayed else where for cheaper.
