Sixty in Santorini, what a treat.
Abelonas is a little gem! Perfectly situated near fantastic restaurants and just across the path that leads along the coast. Breakfast was amazing, served each morning to our balcony. Be sure to order the night before, for your preferred time, but don't worry if you forget, they will bring the same order you had the day before, with a big smile and a nice chat to go with it. We were there to celebrate my 60th birthday and our champagne breakfast was something very special! Staff were so friendly and could not have done more to ensure that we had a fantastic stay, managing to book us on a sunset cruise at short notice. Note that this is a small, friendly place, and NOT a 5 star luxury hotel with all mod cons - however, you have all you need, clean, tidy and very, very pretty. And to top it all, there is an incredible view from the verandah above the pool - no booking an expensive restaurant is required! We spent many evenings there, with a bottle of wine and some nibbles, just watching the sun go down. Perfect.

Amazing 2-night stay in Santorini!
A friend and I spent 2 nights at Abelonas Retreat and had a fabulous stay in a studio room with a caldera and sea view. Must recommend both views for stunning sunrise and sunsets. The service at the front desk was impeccable. They answered all our questions before and during arrival/stay; in addition to arranging transport to and from the port (a must!). The room was simple but just what we needed and the views were incredible. Breakfast on our terrace each morning was charming and romantic. Location was perfect - right off the caldera hike path and much less crowded than neighboring Oia or Fira. In addition, we were walking distance from a few shops and lovey tavernas. The front desk suggested Aroma Gefsis upon arrival (just a few steps away!) and we were treated like family. Our only complaint is that our stay wasn’t longer. Would definitely stay again!
