Affordable and Convenient
The Old Waverley Hotel is conveniently located to trains and buses and shops. They are all in walking distance. The Scottish fellow and Canadian girl working in the lounge were very friendly and helpful. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Great location, room clean, but overpriced
Felt it was beautifully located and we had great view, but age noticed in so many things that we felt cost seemed over the top for quality and condition of hotel at the time. Breakfast serviceable but could be improved. But focus first on the little things: Worn fabric on chairs, ancient binders for information, light fixtures etc. Our next B&B on our journey is similar in age, condition and also prime location, but half the price
