The "resort" is located in the middle of nowhere. The access is very difficult for both tourists and locals. The rooms as well as the bathrooms are very small. The staff is very pleasant and helpful until they get busy over the weekend and then they are not sufficient to attend all of the guests. The check-in is an inefficient and long process that keeps guests for a long time in a reception area with poor ventilation and very hot and humid. The buffet restaurant is acceptable, but there is only one other option within the facility to dine. The ventilation is very poor with AC only in the room and the souvenir shop. We went to visit because of the wedding of a family member, but the property's amenities and facilities do not justify the price paid. It's unlikely that we would ever consider returning again. It has vast opportunity for improvement.

An Adequate Experience
We have stayed at the Oceana multiple times. This last visit left us feeling neutral. Although the outdoor spaces are very nice, other aspects of the facility left us underwhelmed. The private pools are costly and lack privacy. In general, the word adequate comes to mind. The rooms are adequate. Very basic with no attention to detail, and beginning to show wear and tear. The Buffet meals are repetitious. Although you won’t go hungry, the food and dining space is adequate at best, lacking creativity. The restaurant is the highlight of the dining experience, but reservations are recommended and can’t be made until the day of. Evening entertainment provides adequate shows with music that is typically, much louder than need be. Other than attending the night time shows or sitting in the bar, options for evening entertainment are limited. We’ll return, but likely not in the near future.

Nice resort, great service, good food. The only things I did not like were: dogs walking around the property and getting on the side of the pools. Cats in the eating areas. An unpleasant smell around the property at times that seems to be a drainage issue.
