"Our room was fabulous. It was large, clean, had a nice shower, and best of all, had an amazing balcony looking over the lake. We also enjoyed the meals, particularly the breakfast and lunches made to order. The food was good and you can’t beat the views. "

"I wish I could rate this higher than 5 stars. The location is beautiful. Breathtaking views. I prefer a more laid back and quiet vibe. Kula Maya and the town of San Marcos provided that. But when my group and I wanted to have more of an outing, San Pedro was a short ferry ride away. It felt so remote and convenient all at the same time. On top of that, one of the members in our group suffered from appendicitis in the middle of the night on our first night's stay here. We were so scared and the night security guard went out of his way to find us a tuk tuk driver to drive us to the hospital in San Pedro. Following the initial emergency, all the staff at Kula Maya were so attentive to our needs. They were ready to arrange transport for us at a moments notice. I cannot say enough positive things about Kula Maya. Just book your stay here, I promise you won't regret it. It was better than anything we could have imagined.
