High standards and highly recommend!
I stay at the Del when visiting but times are tough so I sought ways to save. This place not only saved money, but it may become my go to. We stayed in the Sunset room. This is an older building so that is just the reality, but all was very clean, very comfortable. Staff was great! Please consider a stay in the mansion and you will not regret it. I will be back.

Coronado break
Lovely 2 bedroom suite. The only thing I would criticise is the both bathrooms were ensuite meaning our party member sleeping on the sofa bed had to walk through the bedrooms to use one of the bathrooms. Breakfast was good with a variety of hot foods, fruit, cereals etc. Excellent location, lots of varied cuisine restaurants and beach within a couple of minutes walk. A lovely stay.

Beware of hidden fees, unkept promises
We were completely disappointed with this hotel. We requested an accessible room, they didn't have one for us. There was no wifi in the room and we had to call an 800 number to set up wifi with a third party vendor because we had IPhones and a Mac computer. There was a $40 per day resort fee which we were only informed of when we checked in, notwithstanding that the pool and hot tub were closed. The ceilings were low. It was basically a very expensive motel room. Do not stay here unless, perhaps, you get a room in the mansion.

Hotel is conveniently located but the pictures are deceiving. The main part of the hotel is very old. If it was properly restored it would be beautiful but they’ve just slapped some paint on it and called it restored. The rooms are very tiny and service is only provided every three days. If you pay $250 or less it’s ok just for the location. Anything over that feels too much, which is sadly what we paid. I don’t know where all these people that rate it 8-10 are staying. Sadly I believed those reviews and it’s not that caliber hotel.

Not 100% clean, old property
This place is OLD. Which would be fine if everything else was top-notch. Pros: Parking was easy Staff was nice Pool was warm Cons: Our place was not 100% clean. My kids found M&Ms on the floor along with Christmas bows under the couch. There was an old towel hanging in the bathroom. The kitchenette sink sprayed everywhere and they left us a dirty dish sponge. The walls are very thin, so the ppl below were blasting their TV for hours until 1 AM. I called twice to resolve the problem and Christian the manager did help eventually - but why isn’t there a better insulation to alleviate the noise? If you have anyone staying below or next to you, you will hear every single thing. The pipes when the neighbor flushes the toilet, or use the sink, etc. The breakfast was your typical continental breakfast, and even though we got down there before 10 AM, the staff did not want to help when I asked for more pancakes for the kids. There is not much seating inside, and it was raining the entire time we stayed, so no where to really sit. There are some really old chairs and tables that were dirty next to the kitchen in the lobby that we sat at. Overall, we will not stay here again.
