Good value for money
Ideally located by Union Square and Powell Station. Nothing fancy, but the space was tidy and room equipped with full amenities (fridge, kettle, good TV for rainy evenings).

Good and simple
Good and simple accommodations in SF. Great location for most tourists. Don't worry too much about the lack of AC, as it's pretty cool in SF compared to other CA cities. Great service at the front desk. Small rooms but you shouldn't be spending too much time in there anyways!

Convenient location and friendly staff
Good location for being within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, and the Piers/harbours. Secured entrance during the evening hours for safe access and a rustic lobby. Very little noise pollution from outside with my room location. Had a lovely room with a comfortable bed and a private washroom that was clean and everything worked great. There was no allocated parking but there are a number of garages with varying rates within walking distance as well. Only had an issue with being located near another room that was going through a bathroom renovation starting on my 3rd day there and I usually went out during the afternoon so I heard everything from early hours. Overall, a decent stay.

Bed bugs bites for 4 night stay
I have bed bugs on my bed! I noticed bites on my body over the last 4 nights but didn’t realize they were from bed bugs until the day before my departure (5th night). Luckily I took photos every day of my bites (thought I was allergic to something and wanted to have photos to show my family doctor when I get back home). And I did find small blood stains on the comforter... Yikes!! It took forever to get a different room, and the manager only offered a 50% off my stay on my last night. I told them if anything, I should get discount on the first 4 nights when I stayed in a bed with bed bugs. I had to call to complain about the situation.

Great Location, Adequate Experience Would Stay Aga
Excellent location and great for the price. Got the impression that it may also be a long term accommodation or rooming house by some of the characters in the lobby. Radiator gave us grief all night with a faulty pressure relief valve that was blowing like a tea kettle sporadically throughout the night. Could hear every movement in the hallways and didn't get a good nights sleep. Room was clean and the location was excellent. We loved the sister hotel's restaurant. The airport shuttle driver was questionable, but very friendly and did get us to the airport, after running a fee red lights! Would stay there again, knowing all of this, the location and price were worth it.

4 Days In San Francisco
The desk staff were fabulous. Great smiles and friendly. Rooms were bare bones but very clean. Well located, just 1 1/2 blocks from BART, the Metro and start of the main cable car line (if you don't mind standing in line for an hour). Well priced for a budget traveler. Negative was running the gauntlet of drug addled crazies to go 50 paces to Starbucks every morning at 7:00 (the hotel only serves Nescafe instant in the room) despite being several blocks from the worst area, The Tenderloin. No kidding, every morning for 4 days was stopped by 4 people begging money. There's a Walgreen's practically next door with good food service. That said, yes I would stay again in this very active area. TIP: Don't buy the all-you-can 1, 3, 7 day transit passes (includes cable cars) unless you really expect to take 6 - 8 rides per day. Pay as you go, it's cheaper, especially for seniors. Easy to catch the "F" line back and forth on Market to get to Fisherman's Wharf.

Good enough to have a place to rest
Room is very small. No screen for windows. It's hot after shower. Our lights is not working. But services is good. Location is best. Overall it's a good enough for a place to sleep with the price
