Broken ice machine 3rd and 2nd floors (gave up after that), no cookies at check in (no biggie but was promised), filthy windows obscured city view which we paid to have, pillows and bed were so uncomfortable no one slept well. Room temperature kept fluctuating despite thermostat settings. I am 5' 8" and had to squat to get under shower head as it was level with my chin. Text feature to communicate with front desk they did not respond to for hours. Housekeeping knocked to ask when we were leaving an hour before check out. I detest being made to feel like I need to rush to leave when we paid for the space. I am a 'go with the flow' kind of person but as the issues kept piling up this was a very disappointing stay and was not even close to worth the price we paid. I would never stay here again. Thankfully there are many other lodging options in Boston to enjoy. If you want a comfortable rest where customer service is King and amenities aren't dingy/defunct then skip the Double Tree/Hilton Downtown Boston.
