2/10 Poor

It was very nice, however, for the price we paid and the fact that most of the amenities were closed did not make it worthwhile. Further, they did not advise the pool was closing early which ruined our evening plans

Disappointing Accommodations and Staff
Location and grounds are great - very scenic. Condition of lodging was really disappointing. We were assigned a room in an old cabin that has not been maintained. Room had no a/c, two very small windows one of which did not operate, very thin door to connecting room allowing conversations to be heard through the door, only furniture was an old small table with two hard back chairs, minimal electrical outlets (the hotel had to have two power strips 'daisy-chained' together to have enough outlets for a fan, coffee maker and tea kettle), and a road was in front of the cabin a few feet from the windows. Comfort and sleep were impossible. Front desk staff and management were totally unresponsive to requests and were curt and rude. I would never stay at this hotel again and would not recommend it under any circumstances. Better to drive up from Banff just for the day and skip staying overnight in Jasper, or find another hotel. Opinion of the Fairmont brand is extremely low after experiencing the poor accommodations and staff at this hotel.

The property is outstanding with wonderful affordable activities. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The accommodations are private, quiet clean. The only change would be more dining options.

Paid too much for our stay this summer. Not worth it. I will stay in the inns/lodges in town next time.

6/10 Good

We had high expectations for this stay based on the price and Fairmont reputation but were sadly let down on multiple occations. From being forgotten about during dining experiences on two occations to have double charged sitting on our card for over a week affecting the rest of our honeymoon... This was not the experience we expected. The saving grace for this stay was our wonderful spa experience as well as Kieran V who took care of us at Orso, without them we would have completely regretted chosing to stay here.
