Accommodations fit for a King and Queen
The Clontarf Castle was absolutely amazing! From the history of the castle to the overall ambience of royalty and another era gone by. It was truly delightful! My only negative would be the service in the dining room. We ate dinner there one night and also had the Sunday brunch. Both experiences were a little chaotic and the staff disorganized and not attentive. Food was good on both occasions, but the service definately lacked.

Fairytale stay at Clontarf Castle
From the moment we walked into the hotel, we felt like we walked into history. The luciousness of the decor mixed with original elements of the remains of Clontarf Castle were breathtaking. Your staff were very welcoming and helpful in directing us to local surroundings and making suggestions on meals outside the hotel; we did dine in the Knight's Bar however, and were extremely happy we did. Our meal was as good as any we'd had throughout Ireland and was priced less than I thought for a hotel of this standing. We also enjoyed the buffet breakfast one morning and it was perfect, along with the exceptional staff working that morning. Personally, I enjoyed the quiet location, away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, we had stayed in a central location at the beginning of our trip and finished our visit to Ireland at Clontarf. We could not have asked for a better ending to our whirlwind tour of your beautiful country.

Great place to stay
This castle hotel was a great hotel with amazing breakfast! Only downfall was that the wifi was not very good. Would stay here again for sure though.

Would go back in a heartbeat!
Beautiful Hotel! Staff was very nice. Food and drinks at the Knight's Restaurant was super! Nicely located on the outskirts of Dublin City (10-15 Euros cab from city). Check out Howth village, adorable area with fabulous fish and chips on the harbour (20 Euros from Clontarf Castle), nice to escape the city and see a bit of the countryside. There are a couple transactions pending on my visa that I am keeping an eye on (they do take a credit card deposit) from the hotel, not sure what's happening there since I prepaid for the hotel in February through Fingers crossed no problems.
