I can be quite the critic when staying at a hotel however I am *IMPRESSED* with my experience at the Napoleon. First, the staff is extremely professional: they are well versed in accomodating a number of guests worldwide. This is a very important point, and not just a compliment for this hotel, because staff from several other hotels in Rome have a chance of being reserved, perhaps towards guests who do not speak the Italian language. The Napoleon is such a lovely, cozy, family oriented based hotel with a generous buffet breakfast that's included in your booking. Staff was super helpful with any questions that I had. Although I was alone, I took a double bed room to treat myself while on holidays: double curtains so you don't wake up from the sunlight, free coffee / tea available above the little fridge. The layout of the hotel is also very nice. I also went to dine in the hotel restaurant my last night and enjoyed it. As a woman traveling alone, I felt completely safe and comfortable *in the hotel.* I do not recommend walking too much at night around the hotel area -- although it's full of tourists, it has a lot of interesting characters on the streets. They're harmless and won't approach you, but you'll see for yourself that it's best to be back to the hotel before sunset, or ensure that you have someone with you if exploring the area (or other areas of the city) late at night. But this fact can't be held against the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel :).

Good hotel for Rome sightseeing
This hotel was recommended by a friend. It is an style hotel with only single or double beds which are normal for that area. The area isn't the best to go walking around ar night but it is walking distance to most of Romes attractions ie Colosseum 15 min.. only use transportation once and that was one way to the Vatican. The best thing was the staff. They were extremely helpful and some nights they had a meet & greet with the manager with free drinks. The buffet breakfast was good and had a lot of choices.

Location, location, location and friendly service
Loved this hotel ! The service was friendly, the location was excellent (close to the train station and to the Coliseum) , the room was clean and VERY quiet, the morning breakfast buffet was generous and to make our experience even better we were invited to a wine and cheese by the owner ! Will definitely go back again !
