Disappointing
We were hoping for a nicer experience. Though the hotel is quite lovely from the outside and in the lobby, the deluxe room that we stayed in was underwhelming. The bed was comfortable, however the floors have a bit of slant to them, the bathroom is pretty small, and the setup in the living room is awkward and a poor utilization of the space. A big reason we booked this room was because it has a jetted tub, however the tub was inoperable upon our arrival and the hotel never resolved the issue, despite our request to do so on multiple occasions. A manager from the property reached out after our stay and was courteous, but the end result - a $60 resort fee refund on a $2,000 booking, left us feeling like we didn't get our money's worth. I don't foresee going back to Miami Beach anytime soon, but if I do, I'll be staying elsewhere.

First trip to Miami
The Front desk Staff was excellent. Luis was exceptional. Mel was very patient and took the time to answer all my questions. Staff greeted us warmly and kind. Great customer service. The hotel is a little outdated. The rooms are smaller than normal. The bathroom and shower areas even smaller. The beds seemed smaller than most and were a little hard. Not many outlets in the room. The room was not kid friendly had to protect against the sharp edges. Only a fridge in room and the safe was broken. Hard to request face towels multiple times and was always told they did not have any. We ended up just going to buy some. It was centrally located to beach and other attracts but had a hard time locating B and B the vendor for the hotel that supplied the towels and Chairs. They had multiple pop ups on the beach but you had to keep walking until you found the right one and the hotel’s vendor was a few blocks away along the beach. Hotel roof top pool was very nice. Food no matter where you went on the area was very expensive. Over all enjoyed the hotel and its friendliness.

Not 4 star
This is not a 4-star hotel experience. -I arrived early in the day and could not get into my room until 3:30 p.m. on a Tuesday. I had also emailed beforehand. The desk agent had promised to contact me when the room was ready – when I checked in at 3:30, it had been. Had I gone to a Marriott, for example, management would have worked to get a clean room. At a 4-star hotel, the brand goes above and beyond for customers. -The one elevator is a huge concern and it was out of service one day. Wanting to go to the pool on the roof, I chose not to because I was not climbing 4 flights of stairs. -My friend asked to take a call in their meeting rooms and they quoted her $150 for the day. I’ve been offered meeting rooms at other hotels that pride themselves on a high level of service. The staff was helpful and welcoming otherwise. The hotel was very clean and the lobby, pool, and outdoor areas are quite nice.

Great iconic hotel
The Tony Hotel main building is a lovely Art Deco hotel on Collins Avenue and we would recommend staying, the annexe building on Ocean Drive is not great and the A/C units on the roof are very noisy if you are on the top floor and we could not sleep so moved to main hotel. We will be back but only in the Collins Building.
