This is a small,simple property. Rms were small, but fine for our needs. Clean& tidy. If you are looking for a fancy, super-spacious hotel & room with all kinds of amenities, huge everything, etc. this is NOT the place for you. We found it PERFECT for our needs-a clean and comfortable place to to sleep, shower, and get ready to venture out. There is a pub across the street that stays open until 4 a.m. We could here people having a good evening. Other reviews said was too loud. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs or ask for interior rm. It didn't bother us (we're in our 60s) One night louder than most but French was in big Rugby match that night so the pub was busy! (France won btw) Had issues with the shower where water would run out onto bathrm floor from side seam so bathrm floor was wet most days, but cleaned up by housekeeping by the time we returned. Access to places to eat & shop very close; public transit very close too. We walked to many places within a three miles out many days, but also used metro. Great location, pretty much center of everything in each direction we wanted to go/see. Staff was very pleasant; remembered us, our names & rooms after the first day. There are other places tucked away in the various arrondissements, each with it's own draw. This was perfect for us-could go to where it was a little more hustle bustle but get back to some calmness and have a good night's rest. We stayed 11 nights. Would more than likely stay here again!

There was no jug to boil water, no coffee/tea. The window wouldn't close and there was an extra bed in the room (3 beds for 2 people). We spoke to front desk about it. They said they would send someone to look at the window and would remove the bed the next day, when they cleaned. We returned to the hotel in the evening window still wide open, the room was freezing, and the bed was removed 3 days later, a couple of hours before we were meant to checkout.

The location is great. It is safe and near metro stops, great restaurants, and you can easily walk to many places. The hotel rooms are very small, our toilet literally had a dryer vent for the toilet trap. The shower was so tiny you had to open a bi-fold door to pick up anything you dropped as there was no shelf for shampoo, etc. The non-French staff were helpful and personable, but god help you if they are not working on a day you need something. Also be sure to ask for a room that is not on the street side as it is very noisy. They will send you an email asking how they can make your stay better, but obviously they do not read it because they didn’t accommodate one request.
