Very negligent hotel rooms. The carpet, the walls were dirty and even the lampshades were unevenly placed. It smelled weird and there were what seemed to be foot marks on the wall. Most of the rooms’ doors (views from the hallway) were scratched and/or chipped. At least, the wifi was really strong, the water pressure excellent and the building itself was nice. All in all, not a great experience and shouldn’t be considered a 4 star hotel.

The moment my daughter and I arrived there was a welcome from reception, a lovely warmth and friendliness. This continued with all staff from bar to leisure centre and coffee shop. We stayed in a deluxe room , fab comfy beds. Love location and facilities in the hotel , and bar food is good ..would definitely recommend hotel and stay again.

The staff at Castletroy Park is what gives this place the five stars. Let’s start with Kevin. At first we thought he was the concierge because he cheerfully greeted us as we entered. However, we spotted him just about everywhere besides behind the front desk. Kevin‘s energy and desire to ensure the guests needs are met is also reflected in every staff member we encountered. For instance, we had reservations in the main restaurant but the noise level from a large party was a little more than we wanted that evening. We asked to be moved to the bar and with absolutely no hesitation our hostess went off to investigate. In no time at all, they found a way to fit us in. From our table we had the pleasure of observing a pub staff that worked as well together as any we’ve ever seen. We doubt that there’s a more friendly, professional, synergetic and efficient staff anywhere! As this is a review about a hotel, I should mention the room which was more than adequate with a comfy bed and luxurious linens. Ours was a one night stay, so we didn’t spend much time in the room. In summary, we loved this hotel and it’s staff!
