A great location wasted.
Waited three hours past check-in time for our room, which still wasn't ready. Moved to a lesser room. Given ZERO compensation/credit for the wait or the lesser room. But given plenty of attitude from the front desk manager. That's how the trip started. Room had inconsistent and poor A/C. No fan in the bathroom so it was a constant sauna in there. Lobby bar had nice cocktails but terrible service (bartenders literally just chatting for 10 minutes with one guest while a full bar just sat there). We had our room look batteries go dead, making access impossible. Had to wait in dripping bathing suits in a cold hallway for maybe 20 minutes for someone to arrive. The very next day our SAFE batteries went dead and that took an hour to fix. Property itself is nicely situated. Nice beach. But the layout of the hotel and pool areas themselves are just weird. Many inconvenient paths had to be taken to get from one place to another. The restaurants were decent. The 5 O'clock somewhere bar was excellent all three times we were there.
