Too expensive for its inconsistencies
if everything went as advertised then it would just justify the cost. But it didn’t. We asked for an early check-in but two hours after we Were supposed to check in they didn’t have a room for us. Finally got one of their new rooms but it did not have a dresser for clothes just the closet so we lived out of suitcases for the week. Some days there was milk in the fridge for the coffee and some days not. Some days there was tea in the minibar, And some days not. The prices for food are beyond anything you could imagine even in London. They are the prices of a great hotel which this is not tru and some days not. The prices for food are beyond anything you could imagine even in London. They are the prices of a great hotel which this is not. Great location though. We stayed there 5 years ago and it was worth it. This time it was very disappointing. Good hotel but poor value.

Not worth it
I stayed here in 2012 and was excited to return this year. Unfortunately, I found that there was much less attention to detail than during my previous stay. We arrived to find no hotel doorman, nor any staff to assist us with our bags. The greeting at reception was ok. We made our way up to the room which was as I expected. Turn down service was not done on the first night, then poorly done on another two nights. we were given six hand towels one day, rather than any shower towels. We were told on Jan 4 (and advised before) that we would have to leave the hotel from 10am to 4pm due to maintenance / repairs on the power generator. As such, we arrived back at the hotel for 5pm and found two housekeeping women arguing in our room, only to be told she’d take another 20 minutes to clean it. We waited patiently in the lobby where the staff offered zero perks for having been without a room the whole day. Not even a tea! One night, there were kids screaming in the room next to us, well past midnight. And I swear I could smell pot on our floor the first night... If you aim to be a luxury hotel- you just didn’t measure up! I’ll be going elsewhere on my next trip to London. It’s a pity- the location is great. The only person that was very helpful was Darren, the concierge. Thank you Darren!

Great location, comfortable room and great food
I stayed here for 6 nights and enjoyed it very much. The location is just excellent and has access to all forms of transit. I didn't use a car or taxi at all as it was not needed. Buckingham Palace is just a short walk across the park in front of the hotel and the tube and bus stops are within a very short walk. There are many dining choices nearby and shopping of all kind abounds in the neighbourhood. The room was very comfortable and a fair size for a London hotel. It was very clean and the in-room amenities were very good. The bed was really comfortable and the linens were top notch. I had a room with a view out to Piccadilly Street and across the large park - just lovely. I didn't hear a thing through the windows and the black-out curtains are some of the best I've ever seen. The hotel food is excellent - really tasteful and well done, but not overpriced. The bar is in the lower level and, although fun, is not a 'go to" type of bar. Rather, it's a quiet bar where you can sit and enjoy a drink and conversation. Service was excellent in both. I would definitely return to this hotel and have no hesitation in recommending it. The staff all took a keen interest in my satisfaction with their service which is no longer common in the hospitality industry. A delightful stay.

Staff was very friendly. Alam in particular was excellent. Every morning he greeting myself and my wife with the same smile and spent time with us, chatting with us and getting to know us. He was also extremely attentive to our needs. As I booked for a special occasion, the Hotel also upgraded us to a PArk View room which was very nice of them and all the additional extras that I had requested were all ready and waiting for us on our arrival as planned. Excellent 5 star service.

Beautiful Boutique Hotel
Beautiful hotel and very professional staff. The spa and gym were closed during our stay, which is the only thing I would change in the future.

The staff at this property are second to none. Extremely friendly and helpful. My only disappointment was that the hotel itself beyond the lobby was a little tired and in need of updating. Cleanliness wasn’t the best, hairdryer covered in dust and sticky residue. Toilet seat broken and marks on bathroom wall. Not a luxury stay, but a pleasant one.

A beautiful building and lovely rooms. Unfortunately the service is patchy. We booked an apartment with a cot for our stay. Despite booking this, ringing to confirm the day before arrival and asking at check in there was no cot. It took three calls and over an hour for us to get the cot- really frustrating after a long overnight flight with our 15 month old. Despite having a child on the booking and a cot in the room we were given only two towels each day. Every day except one we were left to ask for an extra towel. To cap this off, we were told at check in that breakfast was included, only to be told at check out that we were given the wrong information. We had high tea with elderly relatives in the restaurant too. Service was hit and miss with various staff offering us the same things only to have no one around when we were trying to pay. Such a shame as at other times, staff offered our son toys to play with and food to feed the ducks and swans with at nearby parks. Given the expense of the hotel I really do expect more consistency and for them to actually do what they say.
