駅から近く、駐車場も広いので、列車/クルマどちらで来てもアクセスは良い。地図を見ると、周囲には一見飲食店が多いように見えるが、営業時間に色々と制約があって、日付や時間帯によっては食事にありつけないことがあるので、要注意である。近くにコンビニがあるので、最悪の場合はそこで食事や買物を済ませることができる。 館内は段差が多いので健常者でも歩行には十分気をつけないと躓いたり転倒したりするリスクが高い。 部屋はオートロックではなく完全に自分で施錠するタイプなので、施錠忘れには十分気を付けたい。 部屋は広くて良いのだが、設備が全般的に古くて利便性にかなり難がある。窓も古いので防音性も遮音性も殆ど無いに等しい。外の音がかなり気になるレベル。 欲しいところに電源の取り口が無いので、テーブルタップや延長コードの携行が必須である。手持ちが無い場合は近くのコンビニで購入しておくことをお勧めする。 冷蔵庫は容量は大きいのだが外見も中身もボロボロで、冷えるだけマシという代物。 最悪なのが客室内にあるユニットバス。バスタブが激狭な上に底面にはエンボスを切っていないので、滑って転倒するリスクが高い。シャワーの水圧があまりにも低く、湯量も湯温も全く安定しないためマトモに体が洗えない。自分みたいに大浴場が嫌いな人間にはかなり酷な環境だ。 今回は山形市内や新庄市内に全くホテルが取れなかったため仕方なくチョイスした宿ではあるが、積極的には利用したくない。とにかく、ホテルに於いて体をマトモに洗えない設備というのは、致命的な欠陥だ。
