Hotel Okura Amsterdam, Amsterdam
This hotel is a gem. I had such a great experience. They also have one of the best concierge I've ever encountered: Lex. Goes above and beyond. Exudes class. They came to the room every night to make sure we were not missing anything. Excellent hotel excellent service excellent everything!

Comfortable, clean, spacious and friendly
I went back o this Hotel after 5 years and was happy that I did so. Stay at the Hotel was very comfortable. Quick checkin, friendly staff and beautiful spacious room. Location is convenient however not central. Tram is across the road that takes u to the center in 5 - 7 min. Quite comfortable.

Amsterdam tourist
Beautiful hotel and friendly staff. We were visiting and found the location a little out of the way to the Amsterdam tourist attractions. Cabs can be costly to take into the hub of activities and then back to the hotel.

Nice hotel in De Pijp. You get what you pay for.
Stayed in Amsterdam with my mother for a long weekend break to celebrate mother’s day. The hotel was close enough to walk or take other transport to old town or anywhere really. I personally enjoyed the outer areas (de Pijp, Jordaan) due to the less touristy feel. The overall ambience and hotel service was on point. Didn’t use the restaurants as there were so many options outside for half the price. The only thing which I was a little disappointed was the spa facilities (sauna, steamroom and ice bucket) requiring you to remove your swimwear. Albeit there is a small sauna area for women which also require to remove clothing!). I do not think this rule should be imposed in a hotel - bit ridiculous. The first few days I went in with my swimming costume and the final day I was told by this grumpy old pensioner that I needed to remove my swimwear. Making the experience a bit distasteful. I respect if others wish to remove their clothing however do not tell me to when I paying good money to stay a hotel which includes spa facilities. The spa facilities was the prime reason I booked this hotel. Perhaps management should change this rule to be optional- so people do not feel obliged. Or tell in advance on booking websites. I probably would have booked elsewhere.

On the 15/03/19 I had a pleasant 2 night stay at Okura. The trip was a treat for my moms 45th birthday! I only notified the staff of the special occasion on the morning of travel however they wasted no time in sending over a list of special service (as requested,) and turned this all around within hours. On arrival we were upgraded to a lovely room and shortly after checking in a birthday cake, birthday card (hand written by staff) and champagne was delivered to the room. My mom had a wonderful birthday, thank you so much for your exceptional service throughout. Special thanks to Miguel who replaced our espresso machine in our room made us americano’s to compensate for the very short time spent without coffee! All staff went above and beyond and on visiting Amsterdam again I will certainly be returning. Thanks, Miss Cowell
