As I use a wheel chair, access is an important criteria in the enjoyment of a hotel stay. We first stayed here a month ago and chose this hotel on the basis of the Sister hotel in Southampton. It does not compare. No valet parking and the nearest car park is half way up a hill. The lift is tiny and can barely accommodate wheel chair and luggage. On our initial visit we were upgraded to a more spacious room that was wheel chair accessible. This time we booked a superior room and were assured that it could accommodate a wheel chair. The door to the bedroom was too narrow to get the chair in. The wardrobe was small and had half sized hangers. Hint - not suitable for extended stays. TV was also small and could not receive BBC1 or 2 ! Restaurant staff were helpful but why was there a 45 minute delay between courses? Bar drinks were expensive. 15 pounds for a single measure of Brandy. In a town brimming with Hotels better alternatives are available. Try Drakes or A Room with View.

Was the most welcoming, comfortable, relaxed night - in my opinion better than the top hotels in Brighton. Will 100%be returning 😊😊

Really disappointed. You will know how long ago we booked. Was for my birthday and anniversary. We get there and were expecting to stay for the Sunday at the Spa. This was not able to happen as the SPA was closed Sunday. Nobody contacted us to tell us as I could have booked a cheaper hotel as we couldn’t use the facilities. To compound this. We were meant to get a contact about this and to date nobody has called us - we left out details, phone and email at reception and was told we would be contacted by the manager on this. So poor it’s u believable that they have received so many good reviews in the past.

An eclectic haven in the heart of Brighton
What an amazing hotel. The spa is a couple haven with an underground grotto and little snug areas to relax. The hotel is really clean and well cared for. The staff are really helpful and there's plenty of them about. The food is lovely particularly if you like fish, even if you don't there's still plenty on offer. The bar is an eclectic place with a great atmosphere and a huge drinks selection. We're definitely going to make this our regular haunt when we stay in Brighton.
