Great Stay!
I had an amazing stay with Residencia Albero Dulce! The place had everything I needed for my stay. They gave me a ride to and from the airport and gave me some great tips on what do to in Havana during my time there. I think some Americans are a little worried about traveling to Cuba still, but my stay here gave me no reason to be worried at all! I even got a little sick one day and the family gave me some meds for no charge and took care of me. Never stayed at a place that cared that much! Price is reasonable too for Havana, not too cheap but not overpriced either. They also have some long-term plans for the place with some additions going on which is a great sign for any business. I would definitely recommend staying with them!

¡Estupendo para tu estancia en La Habana!
Mi habitación era estupenda, limpia, amplia y con baño privado; y el desayuno, maravilloso. Pero sobre todo lo mejor fue conocer a los chicos que viven en la casa, me trataron genial, me ayudaron en todo lo que pudieron y me prepararon la estancia y el viaje en taxi colectivo a Cienfuegos y Trinidad. Cuando vuelva a La Habana, volveré a Albero Dulce.

A gem in Havana, the house is named after a sweet tree in the garden. Three guest rooms for now but they are expanding to six rooms next year with a small spa and yoga classes. The personal attention from Celine, Matteo and their staff is priceless. Nicely decorated rooms with private bathrooms, the shower even had water jets! The breakfast had a powerful cereal boost, toast with cheese (but you can ask for anything they have available) and fresh fruit. After hitting the town, you return home to this cool place where a good conversation is easy to start, if you need one. They have a blue Cadillac and run a two hour city tour which is fabulous. They are planning to organise beach excursions in Cadillacs next yeer. Matteo and Celine are so friendly that we felt at home. You won’t get any better value for money. Will definitely stay here again, when back in Havana

This place was gorgeous! Our room was very clean and was cleaned every day while we were out. Our hosts provided us with tips on what to do and helped us configure our trip. The breakfast was delicious in the mornings for a small fee. Overall, I highly recommend this stay!

Albero Dolce - el corazon de la Habana
Our Habana trip started at the airport w a bang when we jumped into Matteo and Celine's immaculately restored Dodge convertible for a ride to their beautiful house. Under the shade of a massive Chirimoya tree, their home feels like a jungle sanctuary, giving shade to the giant windows of our 2nd Flr room. Their house is in Barrio Cerro walking distance to La Plaza de la Revolucion, Central Habana, Habana Veijo and Vedado. A quiet area of familys and schools, Corona Cigar factory, Estadio Latinoamericano and a lovely walk to cemetery Necropolis Cristobal Colon. Their immediate neighbor is the Rivera Studio. An art gallery and work space that features outsider art. Owners William and Derbis are amazing people who have created a venue and support for seldom celebrated artists with physical or mental handicaps. Incredible. We felt very safe and completely at home in Cerro and in Habana everywhere we went. Though the Cerro is very tranquil, completely devoid of the exhausting tourist hustle that you will encounter in Central and Veijo. Their neighborhood is flanked by larger avenues with groceries, restaurants and you can flag a taxi to anywhere. Matteo and Celines house felt like our own home (but much cleaner). They had meals available, wifi, coffee, beer, an amazing roof top patio, refrigerator and stove..everything needed. AND the BEST SHOWER in CUBA! They also offer trips in their fabulous car to countryside or beach. Fantastic hosts! Amazing home! Highly recommended!!
