Best Western Hotel Artdeco, Rome

Great hotel to stay in Rome, near Termini where the train station and metro station cross.

It’s a older hotel, quiet clean, semi modern furnishing, breakfast was included and decent selection and it’s in a decent area just off the main tourist mob. There are lots of local restaurants close by. Laundry up the street one is by the kg, and the other has very automated machines. Pizza is cheap and good beside both. Military is posted on the corner with the Turkish embassy. A short walk from the main terminal with light bags you can do it. A short walk just past the terminal to shopping. Internet is good, no problem streaming or face time. We enjoyed the area.

Fist impression, What kind of neighbor hood are we in. But it is quite safe with the Turkish embassy down the road providing video and armed guard service. Breakfast was good and pleasant, ample to eat. Rooms are quite, comfortable and clean. Just disappointed with Rome as a dirty crowded city that is unmaintained and collects hordes of taxes from tourist and has next to no public bathrooms, unkept parks, poor garbage pickup etc..

This is not a 4 star hotel. The room is grubby and is in poor shape. The bed is uncomfortable and tiny. Holes in the walls, bathroom looks unfinished.

The good thing about our stay was the bed was very comfortable. Room was near elevator and very noisy, needed earplugs to sleep! Location is great for getting to train station early in the morning, which is why we stayed here, just 10min walk. Area seems safe enough. Breakfast was disappointing, not 4 star quality at all. Cleanliness was ok, but hotel is dated with worn carpet and such. No 4 star extras, like nice toiletries. They just had soap in a pump on the wall, same with some shampoo body wash stuff. Honestly, the 3 star we stayed in before this was much nicer, except for the bed. The comfortable bed saved our stay. A/C worked well. Wifi work well.
