The Worst at Communicating and Care

Hands down worst hotel experience that I've had in almost two decades. Positive for them is beautiful property but the communication was absolutely atrocious. We got to the property early before check in- yes we are aware of check in time and policy; we were told check at 1. We did just that and got yes sir the room just needs to be inspected by suowrvisor- 15 minutes and we will let you know. An hour more goes by and we are in lobby- mind you this is for our 6 year old daughters birthday. They said come back at 3. We hang around again and come back at 3... Room is still not ready. They told us get lunch on them; the restaurant was not open, we also asked for 4 pm check out... Walks off and gets manager and shares 4 pm will work- great! I will also get text... Its now 7 pm and we have nothing. We walk back up and the supervisor hands us key knowing the situation. We are in the worst room- closest to elevator on the floor where they are doing construction. The room was not clean... I can go on for hours. I will not ever get Westin my business again.

We always stay at the Westin when we come to PV. We have been happy with the hotel but this time the cleanliness and overall service weren’t as good. The Westin was under construction and possibly this is the reason for the declining quality of service. We didn’t have any soap, body wash or shampoo in the room when we arrived, we also only had 2 towels, so we had to ask housekeeping for essentials. Next, when housekeeping refreshed the room, they didn’t replenish the towels or toilet paper, so again, we had to flag them down to get those items. We still had a great time though. The pool was fantastic and the food at the hotel, as well as at the Marina was great. We truly hope after the construction, the Westin is back to the high quality place it used to be.

Terrible hotel.

The maid used a very, very wet mop and mop.The marble floors and made them like an ice rink, which I slept on. There's wall and ceiling damage throughout the hotel that the repairs were not matched.And it looks like a dump. The waiters will bump into you rather than let you go by. They charge me each day for an extra resort fee.When I had already paid on hotels.com

El dumpo. You won't be happy with this hotel.

The maid mopped the floor with a very wet mop, evidently, the floor is marble, and I slipped; unnecessary hazard. I'm talking a lot of water. I can't believe any maid would do that. They put an extra resort charge on for each day. Even though I paid via hotels dot com. The waiters would bump into you regularly.Because they thought there access was more important than the guests. The hotel was run down; when they fixed wall and ceiling holes they didn't match them anywhere. Sloppy work. Buffet food was okay, but the restaurants were terrible.

Very nice place to stay in Puerto Vallarta

Very nice hotel for couples or families. Staff is very courteous snd welcoming. Reccently updated rooms. Beautiful pool area. Several restaurants and bars to choose from. Easy walk to the marina area where there are lots of restaurants and shops.

This is an old property and it I showing its age. Boarded up store fronts in the main lobby. The resort is also split in half, with one side being residences and the other hotel. Beach is small, water murky from nearby marina and cruise port. 3 stars at best, not typical Westin quality.

Wonderful hotel on the beach. Pool is nice and food was delicious. Only complaint was the loud cycling class that took place at 7 am. Not exactly the peaceful way you want to wake up on the ocean with.

Our stay (party of 4) was average at the property. For some reason, it appeared the hotel had a low occupancy, maybe due to ongoing construction. We learned the hotel was opened 2 days before our arrival (Dec 19, 2024). The beds in the room were double beds, which were unsuitable for two adults. None of us slept well at night. We requested the front desk to change our room, and irrespective of low occupancy; they were unwilling to accommodate our request without a significant charge. The pools had a lot of bugs and leaves, and we didn't see anyone cleaning the pools except for the first 2 days of our stay. The food options were minimal at the hotel, with only two restaurants working at this time. Also, the stairs were dirty, even though they were meant for evacuation purposes. It appears that regulations are not imposed very well in Mexico. The fitness rooms were so out of the way that it was almost demotivating to use them. The mats were dirty, and the rooms were not kept comfortable with proper air conditioning.
